If you are not receiving all of the compensation you deserve, employment law attorney William Julien can analyze the facts of your situation and advise you of your rights under Florida and federal laws. For a free consultation, call 866-569-7398. From our office in Boynton Beach, we protect the rights of Florida workers in West Palm Beach, Miami and Fort Lauderdale and throughout the state.

Unpaid Overtime Pay

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act, you are entitled to overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a week or 10 hours in a day. However, some employers attempt to get around the overtime requirement by:

  • Misclassifying you as an exempt employee who is not eligible for overtime
  • Paying you a salary instead of hourly wage, even though you are nonexempt employee
  • Asking you to work off the clock

Unpaid Commissions

Many unpaid commission cases occur when an employer holds up an employee’s final paycheck following a job termination. Employers may also illegally withhold commission payment.

If we believe your case is strong enough, our law firm handles unpaid commission and overtime cases on a contingency fee basis, which means you do not have to pay us any money upfront. Our fees, if we are successful, will be paid by your employer.
