If you believe you were wrongfully discharged from your job in Palm Beach, it’s time to learn more about your rights. You don’t have to fight back, but this is within your rights if you feel that doing so would be a benefit.
Here are a few points to consider if you want to learn more about wrongful termination as it pertains to your situation:
— Make a list of what happened, complete with dates, conversations with supervisors, and witnesses. This information could come in handy in the future.
— Learn more about the reason for your termination. Were you treated unfairly? Did the company have a good reason for letting you go?
— Learn more about federal anti-discrimination laws. These are in place to protect employees and job candidates from discrimination, so you want to know the finer details. This is particularly true if you think you were terminated due to your race, color, religion, disability, etc.
— Ask why. If you have yet to ask your employer why you were terminated, you have the right to do so. You may not like the answer, but you will at least know what they are thinking.
